Pastor McIntyre was born in North Carolina and raised in Maryland. He currently resides in Essex, Maryland with my wife Lynda. His daughter (Tawana Richardson) is a 3rd grade teacher at OBCA, and his two grandchildren (Tristan - 6th grade and Taylor - 3rd grade) are in their second year at OBCA having moved here from Kentucky in the summer of '08. Pastor McIntyre has completed three years at Texas Bible College and a fourth year at Twin Cities University where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology. Throughout high school Pastor McIntyre had planned on becoming an electrical engineer, and geared his education in that direction by taking many academic math courses along with Physics. During the end of his second year of college, God spoke to him in a prayer meeting to preach His Gospel. Upon completion of college, he entered the ministry, which has included being a supervisor of a Christian school for 10 years, a pastor for 25 years, and a missionary to Kenya, Africa for 4 years (teaching in a college). His most recent ministerial position was Senior Pastor of our local church (The Life Center) located in Essex, MD. Pastor McIntyre held this position from 1991 until 2008 when he became the Bishop of this assembly, and resigned as the Senior Pastor, this allowed him to become more involved in other areas of ministry. His son-in-law was elected as the new Senior Pastor. Pastor McIntyre came to OBCA in January '09. He was asked to come on board as a full time mathematics instructor.He thoroughly enjoys the classes and the students that he has been privileged to work with here at OBCA. He wants to be used by the Lord to influence these students in the ways and will of God while teaching them mathematics. Please keep him in your prayers!
