Open Bible has been my church family since I was a toddler, tagging along with my teenage sister. I attended Open Bible Day School (as it was then called) for one year in the Kindergarten class with my sister as the teacher. After graduating high school I went on to get my A.A. degree as a medical secretary. After college I worked for an ophthalmic surgeon out of Wilmer Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital. I married my high school sweetheart, Bill, in 1971. My heart's desire was always to be a wife and mom and God blessed me with five sons and now 14 grandchildren. We enjoyed our children so much that we home schooled for 19 years. In 2004 I was offered the job of church secretary and, although I had never intended to join the work force again, felt the Lord was leading me to serve the ministry in this way. What a joy it is to follow the Lord's leading! The Lord used the secretary skills I had learned so long ago to now serve him and the ministry of Open Bible.
