Pastor Davis McCurley is a graduate of Open Bible Christian Academy (Sixth Grade class of 1960). At age 16, he moved to Southern California where he met his wife, Sherry, finished high school and graduated with an A. A. from Pierce College. Davis is the father of six children. He has a B. A. in U. S. and Russian history from the University of Maryland, and a M. A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Davis served for more than six years as a German linguist in the U. S. Army, over four of those in southern Germany. He has been a pastor for 32 years, serving the Lord with The Christian and Missionary Alliance in upstate New York for over 15 years, and now at Open Bible for the last 12+ years. Davis teaches 12th Grade Bible which includes a curriculum on apologetics (how to defend the faith) in order to prepare Open Bible graduates for the challenges of a secular world. He also coaches the Boys Varsity Basketball team. Davis came to faith in Christ at age 27 and it is his greatest joy to proclaim the excellency of Christ.
